FARMINGTON — Franklin County historical societies and museums will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, to encourage residents to visit as part of its 2015 Franklin County History Tour.
The participating historical societies and museums are:
• Farmington Historical Society, including the Titcomb House, the Octagon House and North Church.
• Kingfield Historical Society and Stanley Museum.
• Maine’s Paper & Heritage Museum in Livermore Falls.
• Reeds Mill Church in Madrid, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. only.
• Nowetah’s Indian Museum in New Portland.
• New Vineyard Historical Society.
• Phillips Historical Society and Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad Museum in Phillips.
• Rangeley Historical Society and Outdoor Sporting Heritage.
• Maine Forestry Museum.
• Strong Historical Society, including the Hammond House.
• Nordica Homestead Museum.
• The Wilton Farm and Home Museums.
