I might like the proposal of Lewiston Mayor Robert Macdonald (Sun Journal, Sept. 25) if the full measure is taken in publicizing where all the tax money goes.

Perhaps, create a list of all beneficiaries of redistributed taxes, including state and federal money. Then, scale the font to the relative size of each recipient’s share. That would reveal the amount of tax break and loophole benefits collected by every resident.

Will the biggest recipients be Lewiston’s poor?

Will most of the beneficiaries even be poor?

That is something I would love to see.
