TURNER — Allie Belaire converted a cross from Kierstin Leclerc to give Leavitt a 1-0 win over Camden Hills in a rain-soaked KVAC field hockey tilt Tuesday.
Hailey DeMascio made five saves for the Hornets (6-3) to notch the shutout, while Jenna Stearns turned aside three shots for Camden Hills (6-4).
Kaitlyn DeBlois made a key defensive save for Leavitt to preserve the victory.
Mt. Blue 10, Hampden 0
FARMINGTON — Hannah LeClair led a group of four players to record goals Tuesday as Mt. Blue easily overpowered Hampden, 10-0, in KVAC field hockey action.
LeClair led the Cougars (6-3-1) with four goals, while Abby Wallace chipped in with three. Adelle Foss netted a pair of goals while a single tally from Hannah Minns completed the scoring.
Erika McArthur needed only one save to notch the shutout, while Ruby Ramsay turned aside 15 shots for Hampden (4-5-0).
Oxford Hills 4, Brewer 0
PARIS — Haley Wakefield led a group of four players to register goals Tuesday as Oxford Hills rolled to a 4-0 victory over Brewer in a KVAC field hockey tilt.
Bailey Wood, Emma Davidson and Katelynn Watkins also tallied for the Vikings (4-5-1) to complete the scoring.
Anna Huff needed only two saves to preserve the shutout.
Skowhegan 3, Edward Little 2
SKOWHEGAN — Edward Little held a 2-1 lead at halftime, but Skowhegan stormed back for a 3-2 victory in a KVAC field hockey contest.
Brooke Michonski opened up the scoring to get the Indians out to a 1-0 advantage in the first half. Elizabeth Bellman struck twice for the Red Eddies (7-3) before the half ended. Victoria Beliveau and Brooke Lever each had an assist for the Red Eddies.
The shots were fairly even in the first half with Skowhegan (9-1) holding a 6-5 advantage, but the Indians’ offense opened up in the second half as they fired 19 shots on Karli Stubbs. Stubbs had 22 saves in the game.
Elizabeth York tied the game with 10:11 remaining the contest and Lauren Leblanc scored the game winner with 3:30 remaining.
Kelsey Thaller made four saves for Skowhegan.
Girls’ soccer
Lisbon 3, Winthrop 0
WINTHROP — Deliah Schreiber registered a hat trick to propel Lisbon to a 3-0 win over Winthrop in a late-season MVC girls’ soccer matchup Tuesday.
Alexandra Sult needed only four saves to preserve the shutout, while Shie Smith turned aside 16 shots between the posts for Winthrop.
Lewiston 3, Cony 0
LEWISTON — Kajha Gagnon led a trio of players to record goals Tuesday as Lewiston hustled to a 3-0 KVAC win over Cony in girls’ soccer action.
Alanna Taylor and Adela Kalilwa also tallied for the Blue Devils (4-4-1) to complete the scoring.
Kelsey St. Cyr made five saves to notch the shutout, while Autumn Sudsbury deflected 21 shots for the Rams (1-7-0).
Buckfield 6, Valley 0
BUCKFIELD — Kali Litchfield and Ashley Campbell each netted a pair of goals as Buckfield cruised to a 6-0 victory over Valley in an EWC girls’ soccer tilt Tuesday.
Brianna Damon and Hannah Shields also tallied for the Bucks to complete the scoring.
Shields and Damon split time in net, combining to make four saves in the shutout. Kendra Sweet turned aside 18 shots between the posts for Valley.
Waynflete 2, Poland 0
PORTLAND — Beata Vest and Sophie Sangster each found the net Tuesday afternoon as Waynflete hustled to a 2-0 WMC soccer victory over Poland.
Waynflete outshot the Knights 24-6 in a one-sided battle. Ali Pope needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while Erin Brewer turned aside six shots for Poland.
Mountain Valley 1, Oak Hill 0
WALES — Abby Mazza fired a shot that deflected off an Oak Hill defender with 3:48 remaining in the contest to give Mountain Valley a 1-0 girls’ soccer win over Oak Hill on Tuesday.
Falcons keeper Karen Flaherty made 14 saves to notch the shutout, while Anna Dodge turned aside six shots for the Raiders.
Messalonskee 2, Oxford Hills 1
OAKLAND — McKenna Brodeur scored two second-half goals to lift Messalonskee to a 2-1 victory over Oxford Hills in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings led 1-0 at the half. Amanda Paradis converted a relay from Madison LeBlond at 27:14 for the lone Oxford Hills’ tally.
Goalie Sam Bickford made nine saves for Oxford Hills, while goalie Taylor Easler prevented six to earn the win in net for Messalonskee.
Boys’ soccer
Lewiston 9, Cony 0
AUGUSTA — Senior forward Maslah Hassan scored an impressive five goals as Lewiston cruised to a 9-0 shutout victory over Cony in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Devils (9-0) jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead. Senior forward Abdi Shariff contributed two goals, and provided three assists on Hassan goals.
Goalies Nick Robinson and Justin Audet made four saves apiece for the Rams (4-3-2), while goalies Austin Wing and Alex Rivet combined for just three saves for Lewiston in the winning effort.
Gray-New Gloucester 4, Fryeburg 0
GRAY — Senior forward Ben Rogers pocketed a pair of goals to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 4-0 victory over Fryeburg in WMC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Patriots (6-2-1) scored three early goals and rode the lead to their 16th win of the season. Senior forward Laim Stewart chipped in with a goal and an assist.
Goalie Will Zeliff made 10 saves for teh Raiders (3-4-1), while John Henry Villanueva turned back eight shots to earn the win in net for Gray-New Gloucester.
Waynflete 6, Poland 0
POLAND — Aaron Lee notched a hat trick as Waynflete sailed to a 6-0 triumph over Poland in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Flyers (5-2) were dominant in the first half, taking a 5-0 lead at the break. Tommy Silk contributed two goals in the shutout.
Goalie Milo Belleau made two saves for the Knights (2-4-1), while goalie Tom Flint stopped six to earn the win in net for Poland.
Edward Little 3, Mt. Blue 1
FARMINGTON — Noah Perran converted a pass from Muhamed Vibral to tally his second goal of the contest and give Edward Little a 3-1 victory over Mt. Blue in a KVAC boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.
Muhamed Abdiaba also tallied for the Red Eddies to complete the scoring. Sam Smith tallied for the Cougars (2-5-2) with an assist from Evan Backus.
Owen Mower made four saves for the Red Eddies (3-3-3), while Joe Bowering turned aside five shots for the Cougars (2-5-2).
