AUBURN — Construction will constrict eastbound traffic to one lane on a small section of Minot Avenue near downtown starting Tuesday, according to a Police Department statement.

Construction will take place in front of Mechanics Savings Bank at 100 Minot Ave. and will continue for about eight weeks, according to the statement.

Police urge motorists to use caution in the area and allow extra time for commutes.
