Life can be stressful for all of us in one way or another. Someone’s life was so stressful Saturday that they decided to rob the TD Bank on Lisbon Street with a hand gun. Immediately, three young bank tellers were put into a situation that they had never faced before.

They did all the right things and no one was hurt — luckily!

The police responded in minutes. Neighbors gave descriptions of the vehicle (thank you) and after a high speed chase down the Turnpike into a residential area of Saco, two men were forced off the road by a combination of three police departments. Even surrounded, one of the men still got out with a gun and ran, only to be captured moments later.

You never know what the day is going to bring you. Police departments are challenged and trained for these incidents daily. Thank a policeman today for protecting and serving.

Oh, and by the way, my son — who is working full-time and is in his last year of college — was one of the three bank tellers that day. So let me be the first to thank God, the police and the attentive law-abiding citizens.

Sincerely a loving and thankful dad and a grateful citizen.
