LEWISTON — Muriel S. Martin, 88, of 40 Hamel St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Sept. 6, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She passed after rehab, following surgery due to a fall, during which time she never lost her sense of humor and her loving heart. She remained grateful to those caring for her, and her warm heart reached out to many people, both in d’Youville and in the Lewiston community.

When she wasn’t working at the restaurant, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters and playing cribbage with her friends at the Pastime Club. She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Church, Prince of Peace Parish.
She is survived by three sons, Paul and wife, Linda, of Auburn, Dennis and wife, Stephanie, of Eugene, Ore., and Michael of Lewiston; a daughter, Judith and husband, Joseph, of Mechanic Falls; a sister, Antoinette Orestis of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
