1960 – 2015
LEWISTON — David A. Danforth, 55, of Turner passed away unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 31, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston Jan. 26, 1960, the son of Ralph and Elsie (Bly) Danforth.
David was a 1978 graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner, and married his wife of 32 years, the former Cary Harris of Leeds.
He was a self-employed mechanic and delivery driver for Town Fair Tire, as well as a driver for Caldwell Farms.
His hobbies included “The Tiny House.” He enjoyed his grandchildren, the great outdoors, traveling to Florida and was a great fan of NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his wife, Cary Danforth of Turner; two sons, Nicholas Danforth and companion, Bry Longley, of Lewiston, and Jacob and Tiffany Danforth of Monmouth; sister, Penny Robichaud of Wales; a brother, Rudy Danforth and wife, Marlene, of Turner; a sister, Rachel Reed and husband, Jerry, of North Carolina; a sister, Rosemary Hinckley and husband, Stanley, of Maine; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Annabelle, Abigail, Ryder and Keegan; as well as many other family and friends who survive him.
