1939 – 2015
CANTON — Steven S. Adams, 76, a resident of Peru, passed away, Saturday, Aug. 29, at Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center in Canton, with his family by his side.
He was born July 5, 1939, in Rumford, the son of Stanley Adams and Verna (Whittemore) Adams. He graduated from Dixfield High School.
On Oct. 21, 1989, he married Rachel Nadeau Hunt at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.
Steven worked for International Paper Mill in the 1 and 2 converting before retiring in 2001. He enjoyed family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rachel Adams of Peru; three sons, Wayne Adams of Gardiner, Mark Adams of Houston, Texas, and Jamie Durette of New Hampshire; stepdaughter, Lisa Glidden and her husband, Michael, of Eliot; and stepson, Stephen Hunt and his wife, Darcie, of North Jay; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Irvin Adams.
