LIVERMORE FALLS — Rodney W. Staples, 68, of Livermore Falls, died peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Rodney was born on Nov. 28, 1946, a son of Carlton and Christine (James) Staples. He spent his childhood growing up in Jay and graduated from Jay High School in 1965. Rodney was a well-liked man with many friends. He was a Maine outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing and outdoor sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially fishing trips to Millinocket. Although he loved the outdoors, the true love of his life was his children, who will miss him dearly.
