Season outlook: The Mustangs lost experience on defense but still return eight starters and all of their scorers, including Fletcher, an all-state forward. Monmouth will be unproven in the back, replacing three starters. The Mustangs also have limited depth, but Monmouth can adapt well with players that can handle a variety of positions. The Mustangs should have the talent and experience to be among the better MVC teams and be a threat in the tourney.
