LEWSTON — The Central Maine Medical Center Woman’s Hospital Association is featuring the work of two photographers at its rotating art gallery at CMMC throughout August.
The display showcases the work of Doug Warner and Marian Marks.
For Warner, an amateur photographer, this exhibit at CMMC marks the first time that his work has been shown publicly.
“I try to find and capture the awe of our lovely state. I live and work in the lakes region area of western Maine and it is abundant with incredible natural wonders. I enjoy the sunrise and the sunsets that are offered to us daily. No two are ever alike,” he says.
Marian Marks is an amateur photographer who specializes in outdoor photography, especially birds and wildlife.
Her work has been accepted three times for the University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn College’s biennial area artist’s show, and twice for the Maine Photography Show, where she earned a third place prize in the color division in 2015. She has won numerous ribbons at the Maine State Sportsman’s show and the Fryeburg Fair, including several top honors.
The artwork on display may be purchased through the WHA Gift Shop, located adjacent to the main lobby corridor.
