HARTFORD — Nichole “Nikki” Byron, 30, of 66 Dakin Lane, Hartford, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 2, in Buckfield, after she was involved in a automobile accident.
She was born in Virginia on July 19, 1985, the daughter of Suzanne Currier, Everett Byron and stepfather, Doug Pettengill.
Nikki was educated in Turner and Auburn. She’d recently acquired her certified nursing assistant license and relocated her family to Hartford.
She enjoyed looking for yard sales, family gatherings, bonfires, cooking, camping, planning fun trips for her and the kids and collecting Apple décor for her house, just to name a few. Nikki was always smiling and happy to help others in need.
She recently started employment as a CNA for Central Home Health Care of New England, loved her clients and enjoyed her job. Nikki was also a local bartender at many establishments in Lewiston-Auburn, such as the Carlton Club, The Cage and Pub 33.
She is predeceased by her father, Everett Byron; her grandparents; Romona Rock, and Roger Giguere and wife, Lorraine; and great-grandmother, Anna Giguere.
She is survived by her daughter, Lexi Poisson, 12; sons, Logan Poisson, 10, and Luke Byron, 2; her mother, Suzanne Currier and fiancé, Bob Huntington, of Turner; stepfather, Doug Pettengill of Auburn; five brothers and sisters, Michele Parker of Jay, Jason Giguere of Turner, Jenny Byron of Turner, Paul Pettengill and fiancée, Autumn Poulin, of Turner, and Amanda Pettengill and fiancé, Curtis Bressette, of Livermore Falls; six nieces and nephews, Kaleb Bridges, Aliyah Poulin, Erwin Dunham, Alyssa Parker, Matthew Dunham and Carter Bressette; aunts and uncles, Sandy and Paul Collins of Turner, Don Giguere of Brunswick and Diane Ingrisano of Venice, Fla.; and cousins, Roland Ingrisano, Melissa Ingrisano, Katelynn King, Brandon Collins, Jessica Giguere and Bradley Giguere. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles and cousins on her father’s side; along with her best friend, Melissa Long.
