MINOT — The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department and Maine State Police will conduct a joint sobriety checkpoint Thursday evening, Aug. 6.
According to a news release from Sgt. Tim Kachnovich, “our hope is to remove impaired drivers from the roadways and deter motorists from operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.”
The checkpoint is funded through a Maine Bureau of Highway Safety grant.
