1936 – 2015
NORWAY — Beverly J. Tilley, 78, of West Paris passed away Friday, July 31, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Beverly was born in South Paris on Dec. 27, 1936, the daughter of Walton and Elizabeth (Bane) Corbett. She attended schools in South Paris and graduated from Paris High School in 1954.
For over 25 years, Beverly worked in Central Registration at Stephens Memorial Hospital. Prior to that, Bev worked at Diamond International, Cornwall Wood Products and WKTQ Radio Station in South Paris.
She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford, and a former member of the Advent Christian Church and the South Paris Baptist Church.
She married Wayne Tilley on Aug. 2, 1958.
She and Wayne have lived in West Paris since March of this year, moving there from Mechanic Falls. They had also previously lived on Paris Hill.
Beverly is predeceased by her two brothers, Jim Corbett and Richard Corbett.
Besides her husband of 57 years, Wayne, she is survived by four sons, William Tilley and his significant other, Carole Green, of Kentucky, Todd Tilley of New York City, Jay Tilley and his wife, Lynn Duranceau-Tilley, of Saco, and Richard Libby and his wife, Tracey, of South Paris; two daughters, Tammy Laidlaw and her partner, Charles Whitman, of Greenwood, and Coni Pyles and her significant other, Paul Bryant, of Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
