PORTLAND — A 37-year-old man was arrested near the Preble Street shelter early Friday morning after police say he drew a pellet gun when asked to leave One City Center and then fled, shooting out windows in various buildings as he ran to the Oxford Street Shelter.
Ajay Narayan, whose address is not listed, was apparently asked by a security guard to move at about 5:30 a.m. because he was blocking the entry to Dunkin’ Donuts in the ground floor of One City Center.
Narayan allegedly produced a pellet gun, and then fled in the direction of Oxford Street, Portland Police Lt. James Sweatt said Friday.
Officers arrested him in front of the shelter. No injuries were reported.
