SABATTUS — Voters in Regional School Unit 4 passed a $18.56 million budget for fiscal year 2015-16 on Tuesday.

It’s $51,000 less than the original budget rejected by voters June 9.

Wales voters readily accepted the budget by a tally of 60-15, while Litchfield’s tally was 104-88. Sabattus voters approved it in a 73-65 vote.

The total from all three towns was 237-168.

RSU 4 Superintendent Jim Hodgkin said he was pleased with the outcome and recognizes that while there are issues that concern voters in each town, he is happy to have a budget to work with.
