FARMINGTON — A District Court judge set bail Monday at $25,000 cash or an alternative to abide by a pretrial agreement for a Livermore Falls woman accused of being the getaway driver and being involved in the planning of a home invasion in Jay on June 28.

Jay police arrested Amanda Cote, 38, Friday on felony charges of robbery, burglary and hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Assistant District Attorney Joshua Robbins said Cote has already been screened and qualifies for the state agreement.

Judge Lance Walker also ordered Cote to have no contact with co-defendants Eric S. Hafford, 34, of Livermore Falls, and Daniel Leet, 33, of Lewiston, or the victim. Conditions also include no use or possession of alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms or dangerous weapons. Cote is subject to random searches and testing.

Police say a 75-year-old man’s hands were tied behind his back and he was made to lie face-down on his bed after intruders broke into his home and stole his wallet, a cellphone and a valuable coin collection.

A conviction on the robbery charge carries up to 30 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Cote is the girlfriend of Hafford, police said. He is being held at a Franklin County jail in Farmington on $50,000 cash bail while the third co-defendant, Leet, is being held on $25,000 cash bail. The two face felony charges of robbery, burglary and criminal restraint.
