1925 – 2015
AUBURN — Normand L. Poulin, 90, of Lewiston passed away Wednesday, July 22, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born in Lewiston on April 3, 1925, the son of Alfred and Alexina (Provost) Poulin and attended local schools.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Following his service to his country, Norm worked for Blue Rock Industries for many years and later for Cloutier Construction Co. until his retirement.
On Aug. 8, 1947, he married Doris M. Poulin, and she died in December 2008.
He was a longtime parishioner of Holy Family Church and the American Legion Post No. 153 in Auburn.
Norm was a jack-of-all-trades who loved to fix things, such as lawnmowers, and enjoyed listening to country music.
He is survived by his children, Diane Mottram and husband, Bruce, Jeanne Martin and husband, Dan, and Maurice Poulin and wife, Diane; his grandchildren, Kim Bronk and husband, Doug, Jason Mottram and wife, PJ, Brock Poulin and wife, Jacinta, Brandon Poulin and wife, Kim, Grant Poulin and wife, Sierra, and Amanda and Brittany Martin; his great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ben and Madison Bossie, and Nevaeh, Cole, Caden, Bekah, Natalie and Anabelle Poulin; and soon-to-be great-grandson, Phoenix.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Tammy Martin; his brother, Ronald Poulin; and his sister, Doris Bilodeau.
