FRANKLIN COUNTY — The following is the Franklin County Sheriff’s report for the week of July 11-17:

7/11/2015: Deputy Hartley responded to a 911 hang up complaint on Avon Valley Road in Avon. It was determined that the calling party had accidentally hit his emergency button on his phone by mistake.

7/11/2015: Deputy Zecher, Deputy Bernhardt and Trooper Bond responded to Avon Valley Road in Avon regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation Trooper Bond arrested Jason Bachelder (34) and transported him to jail, Deputy Zecher charged Bachelder with Domestic Violence assault once he completed the investigation.

7/11/2015: Deputy Bernhardt responded to the Tripp Rd in Chesterville for a report of a suicidal person, the person was determined not to be in immediate crisis. However, Bernhardt contacted a crises worker to respond.

7/11/2015: Corporal Bean responded to a report of automatic weapons fire coming from the area of Jackson Hole in Carthage.

7/12/2015: Corporal Bean and Deputy Zecher responded to Chesterville Hill Rd in Chesterville regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival he discovered that a boyfriend and girlfriend had been having a verbal altercation over an incident earlier in the evening. It was determined that no crimes took place; the parties were separated for the evening.

7/12/2015: Deputy Zecher investigated a report of criminal mischief on Main Street in Stratton; a Bobcat tractor had been vandalized over the weekend.

7/12/2015: Deputy Zecher responded to Split Rock Trail in Rangeley Plt. for a 911 hang-up compliant.

7/13/2015: Deputy Hartley conducted a welfare check on Bray Hill Road in Phillips.

7/13/2015: Deputy Hartley responded to North New Portland to assist Somerset S.O. with a reported burglary in progress.

7/13/2015: Lt. Rackliffe investigated a complaint from Bray Hill Road in Phillips. This is a civil issue between two parties who has been living at the residence.

7/14/2015: Detective Ken Charles investigated DHHS referral in Chesterville. As result of the investigation, Devin Medcoff was arrested for aggravated assault.

7/14/2015: Lt. Rackliffe investigated a report of a burglary on the Hollow Road in Weld. The report was unfounded.

7/14/2015 Corporal Chase assisted State Police with an accident at the intersection of Main St. and route 4 in Strong.

7/15/2015: Deputy Bernhardt responded to an unattended death complaint on the Dodge Road in Avon. It was determined the victim had a heart attack.

7/15/2015: Lt. Rackliffe and Chief Deputy Lowell responded to Dutch Gap Road in Chesterville to assist State Police with a report of a domestic disturbance.

7/15/2015: Corporal Chase investigated a tractor trailer accident on Route 27 in Jim Pond Twp.

7/16/2015: Deputy Bernhardt investigated a late report of an accident that occurred on the Farmington Falls Rd in New Sharon.

7/16/2015: Corporal Bean charged Stephen Waugh (56) of Oquossoc for OUI after stopping Waugh in his vehicle for running a stop sign in Oquossoc.

7/17/2015: Deputy Zecher and Corporal Bean assisted Farmington PD Officer Gilbert regarding an Amber Alert which was called in by Somersworth NH PD. The suspect, Jeremiah Grant, was found initially in Farmington by Officer Gilbert. He refused to be taken into custody and drove off with the child in the vehicle and did not stop again until he hit a road block after a short pursuit. The child was removed unharmed and turned over to his mother.

Deputies conducted 1 Elder Check during this period. Deputies conducted 22 building checks during this reporting period; all were secure.
