FARMINGTON — Pull up a chair, let all your cares drift away as you enjoy a piece of fresh-home baked pie, blueberry bread pudding or Front Porch Café’s old fashioned bread pudding and ice cold beverages at Pie On The Porch during downtown Farmington’s Summer Fest celebration.

Sit back and relax in a festive setting of red, white and blue on Saturday, July 25th from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Holman Parish House, 227 Main St., Farmington. Seating will be available on the lawn while live music is performed on the porch.

Musical entertainment will begin at 1 p.m. with the beautifully talented Chrissy Poulsen, of Belgrade, at the helm as emcee and sound engineer. The live musical entertainment will offer up a variety of music styles from some local favorite solo performers and groups.

This year’s lineup kicks off at 1 p.m. with Chris Poulson followed by Mason Strunk at 1:15. Mike Burd and the Merry Plinksters ukulele ensemble will take over at 1:45, then the trio of Native Oak at 2:15. Singer/songwriter Brent Laflin will take the “porch” beginning at 3:00 followed up Professor Smarty Pants at 3:30. Ending the afternoon will be Chrissy Poulson and friends, Kevin Libby and Sarah Crosby performing from 4 to 5 p.m.

In case of rain Pie On The Porch will be held next door in the Old South First Congregational Church. The cost for a serving of fresh home baked pie with whipped cream topping or bread pudding and beverage will be $4. Al-a-mode with vanilla ice cream will be available for an additional charge of $.50. Make a date with family and friends to meet at Pie On The Porch.

Unable to sit awhile? Take-outs will be available. Proceeds will benefit the Old South Church community service and outreach. For more information contact 491-5919.
