MECHANIC FALLS — David and Mavis Smith of Dracut, Mass., formerly of Mechanic Falls, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Daisie Doane Smith of Bedford, Mass., to Montana Ross of Bedford, Mass., son of Gerri and Patti Ross of Stoneham and Lowell, Mass.

Miss Smith attended school at Hanscom Air Force Base and graduated from Bedford High School in Bedford, Mass. She received an associate degree in language arts and sciences from Middlesex Community College and attended Hartford University. She is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in education and sociology from the University of Massachusetts in Framingham. She is the granddaughter of Curtis and Janice Morton of Norway and Linda Smith of South Paris.

Mr. Ross graduated from Bedford High School in Bedford, Mass., and in 2009 graduated from Bentley University with a degree in business management and psychology. He is currently employed as an e-commerce solutions consultant for a company in Lowell, Mass.

The wedding will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 at The Barn, Gibbet Hill, Groton, Mass.
