1980 – 2015

AUBURN — Lea Renee LeCompte, 35, loving daughter, sister and aunt, died peacefully on Wednesday July 15, at her home in Auburn.

Lea was born in Farmington on June 30, 1980, the daughter of Richard R. LeCompte and Monique A. (Jolicoeur) LeCompte.

She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1996 and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Maine at Augusta in 2000. Shortly after graduating, she became the publisher of Real Estate Executive Magazine for the state of Maine. Following that, she worked as a rug designer for Maine Wool + Design Corp. Lea also dedicated many hours tutoring school-aged children in mathematics and English.

Over the years, she enjoyed karate, track, dancing, kayaking, swimming, boating and spending time with her two pugs, Harley and Davidson.

She is survived by her parents, Richard and Monique LeCompte of Auburn; her brother, Wesley LeCompte and his wife, Heather, along with their three children, Hayden, Ian and Ella of Lewiston; her uncle and godfather, Daniel LeCompte and his wife, Louise, of Sabattus; her aunt, Pauline Glass and her husband, Lonn, of South Carolina; and five cousins, Adam LeCompte, Kate Ezhaya, Shawanna, Christopher and Joseph Glass.
