POLAND — Lucas Johnson threw a complete game shutout as Tri-Town defeated Highland Green in Legion action Thursday night. He allowed four hits while striking out six.
He also hit a home run in the third as Tri-Town (5-2) had four round trippers in the contest. Kaleb Bridgham took a trip around the bases once in the first and second innings as he accounted five of the eight Tri-Town runs. Brandon Hubbard went deep in the fourth inning.
Griff Stockford had a pair of hits for Highland Green (3-4).
Pastime 13, Locke Mills 7
BETHEL — Pastime (5-3) erupted with seven runs in the fourth inning and kept right on going, dropping Locke Mills (2-5) with a 13-7 in an American Legion baseball game Thursday.
Pastime used a 10-hit attack and Austin Wing hammered out a double. Tyler Frost tripled for Locke Mills.
Matt Pouling got the win on the mound and teammate Ed Tanguay had two hits. Locke Mills’ Tyler Frost, Kaine Hutchins and Chase Harkins each had two hits.
Franklin County 10, Smith-Tobey 1
FARMINGTON — After giving up a first-inning run, Jake Davenport shut down the Smith Tobey lineup in Franklin County’s 10-1 victory in Legion baseball action.
Davenport allowed only five hits as he went the distance. He also helped his own cause with a three-run home run. Andrew Pratt, Amos Herrin and Evan Roberts all had doubles in Franklin County’s (6-1) victory.
Darren Wood went the first three innings for Smith Tobey before finishing the game behind the plate. He had two hits, including a double. Nick Doughty also had a pair of hits.
Gardiner 4, Rogers Post 1
AUBURN — Kyle Fletcher went the distance and held Rogers Post to just two hits, directing Gardiner to a 4-1 victory in an American Legion baseball game Thursday.
Gardiner held a 2-1 lead and then picked up runs in the third and fifth innings.
Rogers Post’s Austin Cox had two hits and Gardiner’s Ben Allen, who doubled, and Hunter Richardson each had two hits. Eli Fish also doubled for Gardiner.
