1958 – 2015

BOSTON, Mass. — Michael A. Turcotte, 57, of Pepperell, Mass., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11. Mike was diagnosed with liver and esophageal cancer three and a half years ago and received treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Mike was born in 1958 in Auburn, and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1976. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine at Orono and then moved to Massachusetts, where he pursued his professional career.

He started at Raytheon as a mechanical engineer. A few years later, he moved to Computervision, where he supported their engineering software. Later, Mike became a co-founder of Workgroup Technology. For the past 10 years, Mike ran his own software consulting business.

He was a wonderful and caring man who enjoyed golf, all outdoor activities and family gatherings, where he was a master grill chef.

Mike leaves his loving wife, Michele and daughter, Meaghan, of Pepperell, Mass.; his parents, Robert and Pauline Turcotte of Auburn; his sister, Carol Wilson and husband, Peter, of Ashland, Mass.; brother, Dennis and wife, Sonya, of Encinitas, Calif.; nieces, Nicole Eisele, Jennifer Robinson and Brenna Doucette; and nephews, Matthew and Brock Turcotte.
