MINOT — The Minot Historical Society met on May 12.

Robert W. Chapman was the speaker. He is an author of several fiction books on life in and growing up in a small town in Maine. He grew up in Mechanic Falls and uses his life experiences in the books.

Other things accomplished at the new home are that water is available, a new septic system layout has been designed, a new water heater was installed, many clapboards were replaced and painted, and a new side door was installed.

Yard sale items are needed for the July 25 sale.
