1929 – 2015
AUBURN — Laura M. Beaulieu, 85, of Randall Road, Lewiston, died Sunday, June 7, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with her loving daughter, Jeannine, at her side.
She was born in Brunswick on Nov. 23, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Valeda (Sanborn) Morency. Laura married Bertrand L. Beaulieu on Oct. 23, 1948; he predeceased her on June 14, 1996. Together, they spent many wonderful years together and raised their daughter.
Laura worked at various local shoe shops as a stitcher for many years. She later went to work at the Lewiston Lunch Program. She was a member of Holy Family Church.
Laura enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and camping in Naples. She also enjoyed watching “The Young and Restless,” “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” as well as the Red Sox, the Bruins and her daily Mass.
She leaves her daughter, Jeannine A. Roy and her husband, Paul F. Roy, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca and Tamara Roy; a great-granddaughter, Delaney Grace; a sister, Alice Ladd and husband, Neil, of Waterville; and a brother, Raymond Morency and wife, Yvette, of New Mexico.
Laura was predeceased by a daughter, Pauline; a sister, Lillian; and five brothers, Robert, Henry, Paul, Gerard and Maurice.
