FRANKLIN COUNTY — The following is the Franklin County Sheriff’s report for the week of May 29-June 5:
5/29/2015: Deputy Hartley investigated an alleged theft of a motorcycle on the Starks Road in New Sharon. This was determined to be a civil issue.
5/29/2015: Deputy Zecher arrested Matthew Darling of Phillips on a warrant.
5/30/2015: Deputy Brann investigated a car vs. moose accident on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon. There was reportable damage to the car. The moose died at the scene.
5/30/2015: Deputy Hartley investigated a report of theft of gasoline on the Rangeley Road in Avon. The complainant thinks somebody has been siphoning gas from his car.
5/30/2015: Corporal Reid investigated a report of harassment on the West Freeman Road in Strong.
5/30/2015: Deputy Brann investigated a disturbance complaint on Webb River Acres in Carthage. The Complainant claims that her neighbor is yelling profanities at her when she drives by her residence; the neighbor is making the same complaint against the complainant.
6/2/2015: Deputy Burke investigated a report of theft on Main Street in Eustis. The complainant reported that someone had taken metal from his scrap metal pile.
6/2/2015: Deputy Zecher responded to a report of cows in the road on Route 27 in Eustis.
6/2/2015: Deputy Burke assisted Farmington PD with an accident on Route 27 in Farmington.
6/2/2015: Corporal Bean and Deputy Brann assisted State Police with a disturbance on Varnum Pond Road in Temple.
6/3/2015: Deputy Brann responded to a 911 hang-up on Grover Bridge Road in Carthage. It turns out a juvenile there accidentally dialed the emergency number.
6/3/2015: Deputy Brann investigated a report of a suspicious male walking on the Weld Road in Phillips with a chain saw.
6/4/2015: Detective Stephen Charles assisted Farmington PD with an investigation.
6/4/2015: Corporal Chase investigated a report of a Juvenile from Phillips trying to purchase a firearm on line. No charges were filed, and the parents have been notified.
6/4/2015: Deputy Bernhardt conducted a welfare check on Reeds Mills Road in Madrid Township.
6/4/2015: Deputy Zecher responded to a loud party complaint on the fish hatchery road in Salem Township.
Deputies conducted four Elder Checks during this period. Deputies conducted 30 building checks during this reporting period; all were secure.
