SOUTH PORTLAND — Girl Scouts of Maine announced that 37 Girl Scouts have earned their Silver Awards for projects completed this year, reflecting the leadership and citizenship skills that set each girl apart. These accomplishments were recognized at council’s Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at the Augusta Civic Center on April 18, 2015.

Local award winners included Caitlin Buswell of Buckfield, Sage Croteau of Hebron, Sierra Cummins of Monmouth, Rachel Eramo of Brunswick, Abbie Forget of Buckfield, Abigail Gauthier of Brunswick, Corilie Green of Pownal, Jordan Gregory of Minot, Bailee Kinney of Minot, Rachel Kuklinski of Mechanic Falls, Jessica Minieri of Pownal, Shiloh Munsen of Pownal, Allison Richards of Freeport, Katelyn Rouleau of Freeport, Amelia Searfoss of Pownall, Jodie Sheets of Hebron, Hayden Thomas of Durham and Hanna Williams of Hartford.

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout in grades sixth through eighth can earn and gives girls the chance to show they are leaders who are organized, determined and dedicated to improving their communities.
