LIVERMORE FALLS — Four people face criminal charges in connection with the robbery of oxycodone pills on Saturday from the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Main Street.

Shawn Francis, 48, of Hartford, was arrested on a felony charge of robbery. A conviction on the robbery charge carries up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Also arrested, each on a felony charge of criminal conspiracy, were Terri Caldwell, 43, of Hartford, Jeffrey Johnson, 48, of Wilton, and Christopher Coulter, 38, of Chesterville.

Francis is accused of passing a note to a pharmacy worker that threatened the use of a weapon and demanded all of the oxycodone, Livermore Falls police officer Stephen E. Gould said Sunday.

Francis was given a quantity of oxycodone and left the store on foot, Gould said.

Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a yellow bandana and sunglasses, Gould said.

An investigation led to a residence on Borough Road in Chesterville.

After a search warrant was executed, evidence was found at the property and the four people arrested, he said.

Police from departments in Livermore Falls, Jay, Franklin County, Wilton and Maine State Police responded to assist. In addition, a state police evidence response technician assisted, Gould said.

The robbery remains under investigation, Livermore Falls police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Sunday.

Francis, Coulter and Caldwell remained at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn late Sunday morning. Francis is being held on $1,000 cash bail, Coulter on $300 cash bail, and Caldwell on $100 cash bail.

Johnson made $100 cash bail earlier Sunday morning, a corrections officer said.
