Wow! Something that works well.

We were driving down to Boston recently to take a flight and forgot that our E-ZPass was in our other car. Consequently, we drove through two toll booths, assuming that all was well, only to determine as we departed the second booth that we had not paid.

Since it was after closing hours on a Saturday night, we assumed that we would receive a fine/bill in the mail upon our return.

Imagine our delight to discover that as long as the vehicle driven through the booth has a license plate registered as belonging to an E-ZPass user, the toll would be automatically charged to that owner and no fine would be assessed.

How wonderful it is that our Maine Turnpike Authority works just the way one would hope that it would. Hooray for the Turnpike commissioners and their staff.
