WOODSTOCK — Residents will vote Tuesday on whether to approve the lease-purchase of a new firetruck and make improvements to the pole shed.

The meeting begins 5:30 p.m. May 19 at the Town Office.

Article 1 asks residents if they wish to approve adding a concrete floor and overhead doors to the town pole shed. At a previous selectmen meeting, Town Manager Vern Maxfield said the shed had been burglarized and the overhead door would make it more secure.

Article 2 asks residents if they want to approve the lease-purchase of a 2016 Freightliner pump truck for up to $220,000. The Fire Department’s Engine 1 pump truck was taken out of service because it needed $46,000 worth of repairs.

The 350-horsepower Freightliner would be built by Midwest Fire Co. in Luverne, Minn. It would have a lifetime warranty on the body and tank and a 10-year warranty on the paint.

Article 3 asks residents to authorize selectmen to sell the 1987 pump truck by sealed bid.

Maxfield said voter approval is required to sell items valued at $3,000 or more.
