I am so tired of hearing that police officers are racist murderers.
Law enforcement is one of the most dangerous jobs out there. Police officers have to deal with the worst of the worst and have to be pleasant and polite, even when the bad guys are cursing them. They risk their lives every day, trying to keep the public safe.
Who do you call when someone breaks into your house or your business? Who is the first one there when you are in a car accident? Who holds your hand or wraps you in his arms when your son drowns in a lake while ice fishing? Who do you call when your 5-year-old is out of control? (I hear it on the scanner a lot.)
Police officers keep the public safe. They go after the lawbreakers, the drunk drivers, thieves, murderers and those that flout the law.
I have a lot of respect for the police forces, be they local or the State Police. I thank them all for everything they do to keep the world a safe place for the rest of us.
