1935 – 2015
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Gerard R. Roy, 80, of Broomfield, Colo., passed away on Monday, April 27, from a long, lingering illness.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 6, 1935, the son of Ovila and Annette Marcotte Roy. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1952 and married the love of his life, Priscilla Tancrede Roy.
He joined the U.S. Navy and upon being discharged, spent most of his working career as a district food manager for the Kmart Corp. His job brought him to New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Colorado.
Jerry is survived by two daughters, Terry Talerico Roy and P.J. Roy of the Denver area; brothers, Joseph (Eddie) of Auburn, Paul of Lewiston and Richard of Portland.
He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Roy; and an older brother, Eugene.
He was surrounded with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly as their “Pap Pap.”
