LEWISTON — Lloyd Andrew Holman, 71, of East Rumford passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18.
He was born and raised in Rumford, son of Wendall and Teresa Holman. Lloyd served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was employed with Union Carbide Corporation from 1965 to 1983, finishing as a superintendent of operations at a specialty gas plant in Keasbey, N.J.
During 1967 and 1969, Lloyd was also a police officer for the Hudson, Mass., Police Department.
Returning to Maine, he worked at Boise Cascade until 1986. He became a job placement specialist in Rumford, working with Mountain Valley Training, a program director for Oxford County Hope Association, and worked with the Workforce Development and Career Centers in Rumford.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Danielle Holman Salmeri; son, Lawrence Holman; son-in-law, Tom Salmeri; and grandchildren, Anthony Salmeri, Micheala Salmeri, Lawrence Holman Jr., Jeff Korhonen and Coty Korhonen.
