LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Germaine F. Galipeau was concelebrated Saturday, April 18, by the Rev. Aaron Damboise and the Rev. Albert Roux, Germaine’s cousin.

Before Mass, Germaine’s granddaughter, Rachel Miller, placed her grandmother’s Bible on her casket, which was draped with a white burial pall to signify Germaine’s baptism into a new spiritual life with God.

During Mass, Germaine’s granddaughter, Katelyn Miller, proclaimed a Scripture reading. The Offertory Gifts were brought to the altar by granddaughters, Maegan and Emma Galipeau. Germaine’s godson, Lionel Ferland Jr., shared words of remembrance at the end of Mass. A delegation from Schooner Estates was in attendance at church to pay tribute to their beloved former resident.

The pallbearers were Mark and Matthew Miller, Wade Osgood, Michael Powell, Nicholas Kyllonen and Ryan Thibault.

Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, both the Rev. Damboise and the Rev. Roux recited committal prayers to conclude services. All in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston.

Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home of Lewiston.
