1968 – 2015
LEWISTON — Virginia Ann Smith, 46, of Lewiston died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, at her home.
She was born on May 30, 1968 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, a daughter of Michael and Betty (Flanders) Smith of Northwood, N.H. Virginia graduated from Brunswick High School in 1987 and also from Mid-State College in 1998 with an associate degree in accounting.
She worked for many years at Medical Rehabilitation Associates as well as, more recently, working at Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics and W.D. Matthews.
Virginia enjoyed quilting, knitting and scrapbooking, as well as gardening and yard work of all kinds. She was a loving and giving friend to many and dearly loved music, NASCAR racing and the Christmas season.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Michael Foss of Lewiston; her sister, Leslie Watts and her husband, Chris, and their children; nephew, Eamon; and niece, Helena. She also leaves an aunt, uncle, cousins and many friends, who felt and will miss her warmth and caring.
