Pine Cone Chapter of the Eastern Star to hold April meeting

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

The landmarks for the order will be read, and the members will renew their obligation. The associate conductress lecture will be given and the secretary will read the Grand Chapter Charity information.

A pot luck supper will precede the meeting at 6 p.m. All Eastern Star members are welcome.

The Ark to host cooking class with Cheryl Farley

LEWISTON — The ARK & Lunch Cafe will host a cooking class with nutritionist Cheryl Farley of Ready, Set, Go Healthy! at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 13, at 791 Lisbon St.

LEWISOTN — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Monday, April 6, were first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; second, Marta Clements and Bob Kirchherr; and third, Paul Clement and Rick Verrill. First in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; and second in B, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin.

Winners on Tuesday, April 7, were first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Les Buzzell and Paul Clement; and third, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau. First/second tie in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave., Lewiston. A partner is always guaranteed, and all social bridge players are welcomed.
