1934 – 2015
LEWISTON — Rene A. Ouellette age 80 of Lewiston passed away April 2, 2015 at Marshwood Nursing Home. Born in Lewiston April 16, 1934 the son of Emile and Marie (Jalbert) Ouellette.
He attended St. Peter’s School and graduated from Lewiston High School class of 1952.
Rene was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre, including France and Germany.
He then continued his education graduating from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
Rene was employed as an engineer with the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation of Connecticut for 38 years, after retirement he returned to Lewiston.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, he volunteered for meals on wheels, a licensed pilot and deep sea diver, He was always concerned about children’s education and was a ski instructor to disabled children. Rene lived a full and meaningful life.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Jeannine Reny who cared for Rene during his later years.
He was predeceased by his father Emile in 1960 and his mother Marie in 2002.
