JAY — Kindergarten registration is scheduled for Friday, April 3, at Jay Elementary School.
Jay Elementary School (and Livermore Elementary School kindergarten) registration and screening will be by appointment only. Call 897-5719 or 897-3355 to schedule an appointment.
Your child must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15. It is necessary to have the child’s original birth certificate, current immunization records and proof of residency (electric bill, rental agreement or tax bill) at the time of registration. Students cannot be registered without the necessary documents.
The immunization record can be obtained from your child’s physician. A certified copy of your child’s birth certificate can be obtained at the town office where you were residing at the time of your child’s birth.
Your son/daughter needs to attend the kindergarten registration, as they will be taking part in several academic readiness screenings. These screenings will help to determine your child’s placement in the kindergarten programs.
All who have a kindergarten-age student residing in Jay must register at this time for the fall of 2015.
Current pre-K/Head Start students will be screened and registered automatically with the assistance of the pre-K/Head Start staff. Pre-K parents will receive a packet to update their information.
