It did not take long after the 2014 election to realize that it matters not who voters elect to represent them at the federal level. Except for a handful of principled legislators, most, be they Democrat or Republican, represent their own personal interests.

Fortunately, the founders of this country had the foresight to include a process whereby the states would be allowed to hold a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.

Using an Article V convention, the people in their individual states can stop the overreach and unconstitutional power grabs by the federal government.

It is my belief that the American people have a definite choice to make: either continue toward irresponsible centralized government, which can lead to financial disaster for the citizenry, or opt for freedom and responsibility.

I, for one, choose liberty, which is why I am volunteering for the convention of states project in Maine.
