LEWISTON —The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host CPR/AED training with the American Red Cross from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8. Community members are welcome. Cost is $70.

Those attending will learn how to recognize the signals of a cardiac emergency; how to respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies; and how to give immediate care until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Presenters from the Red Cross will describe how to care for a heart attack, list the causes of cardiac arrest, demonstrate how to perform CPR, demonstrate how to care for a person who is choking, demonstrate how to use an AED and provide other information.
