1952 – 2015

GRAY — Gale Marie (Blanchard) Burns died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, March 15.

She was born in Portland on Sept. 28, 1952, the daughter of Frederick and June Liggetto. She attended Portland High School.

Gale managed a family business for many years, and she also worked at G.M. Pollack & Sons. She recently retired from C.N. Brown after 21 years as a heating oil office manager.

Before her retirement, she was named manager of the year.

Gale has always treasured spending time with her family. While her parents were alive, she loved playing cards and cribbage at their house with family and friends. In recent years, Gale spent most of her time with her grandkids and family. She was a big part of the family puzzle club. She enjoyed shopping and getting manicures and pedicures with her friends.

Gale was such an important part of our everyday life. She is greatly missed.

Gale is survived by her son, Robert Blanchard Jr. his wife, Marie Blanchard; her daughter, Christine Dubreuil (Blanchard); her grandchildren, Dean Blanchard, Drew Blanchard,Dawsin Blanchard, Darian Blanchard and Ashley Dubreuil; her sisters, Patricia Gilbert, Judy Binder, Betty Davis and Sharon Liggetto; her longtime partner, Tom Simpson; as well as nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Gale is predeceased by her parents, Frederick and June Liggetto; and her brothers, William Ray and Frederick Liggetto Jr.
