SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The following local airmen graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Air Force Airman Zachary J. Jackson is the son of Kristen T. Norton and stepson of Elmer Norton of Chesterville. He is also the grandson of Paul and Contance Jackson of Canaan, Vt., and Rose-Mary Mackinnon of Plaistow, N.H., and nephew of Carrol Jackson of Colebrook, N.H., and Tracy Mackinnon of Old Orchard Beach. The airman graduated in 2013 from Mt. Blue High School, Farmington.

Air Force Airman Jordon C. Torres is the son of Jessica Riordan of Lisbon, and David Torres of Lisbon Falls, and grandson of Richard and Ann Chattick of Lisbon Falls. He is a 2014 graduate of Lisbon High School, Lisbon Falls.

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jared B. Griffin is the son of George R. Griffin of Sabattus, stepson of Joseph W. Marsden of Poland, brother of Peter J. Griffin of Auburn and Kyle D. Griffin of Navarre, Fla., grandson of Louise A. Griffin of Auburn and husband of Elisha J. Griffin. He is a 1999 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn. He earned an associate degree in 2014 from Mount Washington College, Manchester, N.H.

Air Force Airman Roger E. Jama is a 2013 graduate of Lisbon High School, Lisbon Falls.

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Christian S. Reilly is the son of Paula M. Dowling of Kahului, Hawaii, and Christian S. Reilly Sr. of Rutland, Vt., and stepson of Ricky Martin of Auburn. He is a 2005 graduate of Lewiston High School. He earned an associate degree in 2008 from the University of New England, Portland.

Air Force Airman Alexis D. Priest is the daughter of John E. and Catherine A. Priest of Wales. She is a 2012 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Wales.

Air Force Airman Benjamin S. Foster is the son of Sandra and Scott Foster of Auburn and grandson of Charlotte Frost of Gray. He is a 2013 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Army Pvt. Jordan J. Lansley has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Lansley is the son of Scott Lansley and grandson of Phil Julian of Sabattus.

He is a 2014 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn.
