PORTLAND — The State Theatre in Portland will be a stop for the The Wailin’ Jennys who are touring in support of their most recent studio album, “Bright Morning Stars.”  

The Jennys will appear on April 28, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and $30. 

The renowned trio, which includes Maine native Heather Masse, has made a name for itself worldwide, with three award-winning albums on Red House, two of which spent over a year on the Billboard Charts. Bright Morning Stars united the Jennys with Grammy-nominated producer Mark Howard known for his work with Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris, for their most ambitious album to date. 

Founding members Ruth Moody and Nicky Mehta along with Masse, who is now based in New York, continue to create some exciting and exquisite music on the folk-roots scene, stepping up their musical game with each critically-lauded recording and thrilling audiences with their renowned live performances.
