MEXICO — The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the River Valley Chamber and the Mexico Fire Department, will take place on April 4 in Byron, Canton, Carthage, Dixfield, Hanover, Mexico, Peru, Roxbury and Rumford.

Children ages 7-12 years may participate in this event.

Clues for the hidden eggs will be read aloud on local radio station WOXO 100.7 FM starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m.

After an egg is found, children have until noon to bring it to the Mexico Fire Department and receive an Easter basket. The hunt allows one egg per child.

Children 6 years of age and younger will have an Easter Egg Hunt at the Mexico Fire Station starting at 9 a.m.

Anyone interested in sponsoring an egg for $10 should call the chamber at 364-3241. Sponsorships can also be dropped in the chamber mailbox at the Information Center at 10 Bridge St. in Rumford, or mailed to River Valley Chamber Easter Egg Hunt, 10 Bridge St. Rumford, ME 04276.
