ORONO — Kelsey Renee Wilson of Peru has accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation’s only interdisciplinary honors organization for first-year and second-year college students.
Kelsey is the daughter of Bryan and Tracy Wilson of Peru.
Wilson attends UMaine Orono, majoring in biology. She will be going to New England College of Optometry to be an optometrist. She works at Mountain View Eye Care in Rumford during breaks and during the summer.

BIDDEFORD — Matthew Chouinard, son of Chris and Pauline Chouinard of Lewiston, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2014 fall semester at the University of New England.
A 2012 graduate of Lewiston High School, Chouinard is a major in athletic training. He is also actively involved at the university in club volleyball.
