1930 – 2015

LARGO, Fla. — Roger E. Adams, 84, of Largo, Fla., passed away Tuesday, March 10, at Sabal Palms of Largo Health Care Center.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 28, 1930, to Raymond and Mary Adams. He graduated from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1949.

Roger worked at Bates Manufacturing in Lewiston from 1951 to 1985. He was appointed superintendent of the Hill Mill in 1976. He also worked for the state of Maine at the Multi-Purpose Center, until his retirement in 1997.

He enjoyed deer hunting, boating, skiing and gardening.

Roger is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thompson Adams; daughter, Cynthia Quirk and her husband, George; son, Daniel Adams and his wife, Kimberly; daughter-in-law, Susan Adams; grandchildren, Alexia Adams, Mitch Adams, Brett Adams, Kyle Adams and Kayleigh Adams; his brother, Richard Adams; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Adams.
