Mountain Valley Rec Men’s Basketball

The 16th annual Mountain Valley Rec Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held in Rumford and Mexico at Mountain High School, Mountain Valley Middle School and The River Valley Rec Center on March 27, 28 and 29.

There will be three men’s divisions this year — A, B and Senior (over 40). The tournament expects 10 entries in A and B and at least 6 in Senior. A Women’s division is also available if enough interest is shown. Cost is $350 per team, $375 after March 15.

Teams will play three round robin games — one on Friday night and two on Saturday, followed by a Sunday tournament round for the top teams in each division.

There will also be the traditional foul shooting competition, 3-point competition, and a dunking contest (if enough interest). Awards will be presented after each championship. All profits will benefit the Mountain Valley Athletic Boosters, MVHS and MVMS Athletics, The Greater Rumford Community Center and The River Valley Rec Center.
