NORWAY — Oxford Hills SCORE will offer a new workshop for startup businesses from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Town Office Building, 19 Danforth St.

The instructor will be Neil Elder, Oxford Hills SCORE business mentor who spent 35 years in the banking industry focused on small business commercial lending.

The workshop is geared to those seeking advice on what it takes financially to launch a new business. A light lunch will be served. It will also benefit existing small businesses that may have limited financial expertise and need to understand finances and cash flow.

Topics will include: Startup financial planning; operating in today’s challenging economy; sound financial planning; the importance of cash flow; and what lending institutions are looking for.

Register no later than Tuesday, March 17. The fee is $20 per participant, including a light lunch. Returning veterans of the armed forces are encouraged to attend at no charge.
