FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue High School will hold its second annual “Dress for Less” event from 2:15 to 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 5, and Tuesday, April 14.
The special sale is for senior prom-goers who want to save money while still looking good. Gowns, shoes, accessories and men?s dress clothes are donated by community members, staff and students. The clothing is very gently worn (in most cases, only once) and the dresses are for all shapes and sizes, styles and lengths.
Students looking for a great deal on prom wear should attend on one of the above mentioned dates and be ready to try on as many items as they want until they find what is, hopefully, “just right” for them. Finding something special on the first day of the event allows for participation in the prom fashion show to be held a bit later in March, should students so choose.
Dress for Less is the Mount Blue community?s way of removing the obstacle of cost for students who want or need to be thrifty. The idea was conceived in the Jay schools several years ago, and like all good ideas, has been duplicated in the interests of students who want to attend the classically traditional high school prom at Mt. Blue.
Donations of any and all gently used prom-wear, both girls? and boys?, are appreciatively welcome and may be brought to the MBC front office anytime until 3 p.m. on school days.
Any questions should be directed to Betsy Brady or Patty Schoen at MBC, 778-3561, or bbrady@mtbluersd.org or pschoen@mtbluersd.org.
